Sightfinder's Inventor, Steve Hamm, decided to fix an issue he had struggled with from the young age of six years old. The problem was quick and easy access to his glasses at night or in the morning. Placing them on the nightstand or headboard was easy but finding them in the dark and dim early morning light sometimes led to knocking them in the floor or behind the bed, or worse, scratching them or breaking them! From these numerous times of frustration SIGHTFINDER was born.

In 2006 a prototype was developed and tested and the search for funding for start-up capital began. Steve also found a lawyer and obtained a patent pending and ultimately a full utility patent for SIGHTFINDER as well as other spinoff products. In 2010 Steve found his investors for stage one start-up capital and engineers and manufacturers were located in China for the first round of manufacturing. Safety for consumers was insured due to compliance of all USA requirements in manufacturing of consumer goods.
